Patient, carer & public involvement & engagement (PCPIE)
The creation of a partnership between patients, carers, the public, and researchers, can inform the research process by providing a ‘voice’ to all stakeholders. PCPIE may contribute to the research process at all stages, from informing the research question to coordinating dissemination strategies of the research findings.
Payer and/or expert elicitation, Delphi panels and focus groups
The value of expert judgement from Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and from patient groups to is well recognised. Different structured and unstructured methodologies exist for obtaining and combining expert judgements to inform decision making.
Strategic health economic & market access advice
Strategic consultancy, advice and training may be offered. We conduct expert reviews of evidence development plans for phase II/III clinical studies, HTA submission reviews for submissions to commissioning and regulatory bodies including:
- The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE)
- The Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC)
- The All Wales Medicine Strategy Group (AWMSG)
- The National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE)
